Lenten Rice Bowl Project

The Lenten rice bowl project is about giving up something for Lent to help change others' lives.  Each family in our school has a rice bowl.  The goal is to collect money throughout Lent.  You can find loose change around your house or you can do chores to help earn extra money to put into the bowls.  Maybe you could give up a special treat and save the money from the treat to give to the rice bowl.   The money goes to those less fortunate in other countries.  It can be used to buy food, just $10 can feed a family of six for a week.  Money is also used for medicines and immunizations for children.  This program is sponsored by Catholic Relief Services.  We hope you and your family are able to help us, help others.
